Before and after-school activities (SFO)

  • Before and after-school activities (SFO) is offered to all children from year 1 to 4. Children with special needs are offered SFO from year 1 to 7.
  • You apply at Visma Flyt skole
  • Low income families can apply for reduced parental payment.
  • 12 hours a week are free of charge for pupils in year 1.

You must apply for a place in Visma Flyt skole. You log in with ID-porten. Here you find an overview of the schools and their contact information. New pupils in year 1 receive information on how to apply for a place in a separate letter from the school, in the winter before school starts.

Free part-time place at SFO

  • All year 1 pupils are entitled to free SFO for 2 ½ hours every day after school. 
  • You pay for food, which is 241 nok per month.
  • Free part-time SFO can be combined with other placement types that you choose when you apply in Visma Flyt Skole.
  • Morning placement and free part-time place cannot be saved up and used for whole days.
  • SFO offers purchase of single days.
  • If you replace your morning placement with single day payment, the price for single days comes in addition to what you pay for the morning placement.

Prices

  • There is a 30% sibling discount for your second child, and 50% discount for your third child.
  • You pay for whole months. Notice that you pay for all of August regardless of when your child starts school.

Reduced parental payment

Apply for reduced parental payment

  • You have to apply within 1 June for you to be entitled reduced parental payment from 1 August. You newest tax return must be attached to your application as documentation. If you apply after 1 August and your application is granted you will get reduced payment from the month you applied. 
  • The application is valid for one school year.
  • You can apply if your household income is below 624 433 NOK before taxes. 
  • The household latest tax return must be attached to the application as documentation. A household consists of married couples, registered partners or cohabitants. Both incomes must be documented.  If the child has shared residence, the parental payment is calculated based on the income in the household where the child is registered as resident in the national register.

Required documentation

If you do not have a tax return or your income has changed from last tax return, you have to send in other documentation.

Change in placement

Changes in placement are effective from the 1st of the following month with a minimum of one month's notice. No changes can be made if the notification period expires after 31 March.

Cancellation

The cancellation period and the period for reducing the type of place, is one month, with effect from the 1st of the following month. You have to pay for the place during the cancellation period. If you put in your notice after 31 March, you have to pay for the rest of the school year.
